Craftshow Fever

Its that time of year again! The Trinket Trunk has started the "craftshows" again! We will be at Fallbrook Church on 12512 Walters Rd. Houston, Tx 77014 from 11-4pm. Last year,this was The Trinket Trunk's first craftshow and we're doing it again. Although, I'll admit our outcome was "okay" we felt encouraged this year as the church has expanded. They will have carnival rides,a petting zoo, games, food..etc so that should attract a lot of people driving by. So if our in the area, stop by, take a look and introduce yourself.

New Banner, button & Signature plus new items in store!

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to show off my new banner that Jenny made. Of course it matches my business card but its still super adorable. In addition to the banner, I have also added a Trinket Trunk button so that those who love our little shop can show some support by adding us on their blog!! So add our button today and help advertise us!

I've also been working hard to try and add some new items to our store and posted the new cozies today!There is a "Bandanna Cozie Collection" for sale and a "Polk-A-Dot" Collection as well. Very cute for the summer!

Also in our wood collection we have added a new "Angel Candle Holder" great for home decor or anywhere you'd like to place a candle.

Business Card

A few blogs ago I gave kudos to http://www.jleabannerdesigns.etsy.com/ for her great graphic skills. Well, here I am once again giving her Kudos for all the great things she's done for me. For starters, I finally have a business card made to my liking and has ME written all over it. On top of it, The Trinket Trunk will now have a button for all you followers to add to your blog as well. I can't thank Jenny enough for being patient and working with me until I was completely happy.

Sweet Irie

In the past I posted a few items that I love from Sweet Irie and as always I continue to be addicted to her items!!! I just bought the cutes cupcake coin purse and camera strap (also cupcakes) which I think many of you will enjoy. However, Sweet Irie has expanded and now has her own site. Guess what??? The Trinket Trunk was recognized for its cute wood work! Featuring at The Trinket Trunk...

I just wanted to share with everyone some really great art work. Linda is actually got some really neat cards, magnets and just all sorts of stuff. Don't get me wrong, there is lots more to look at and all AWESOME!! Of course since I'm a Doxie fanatic, I had to buy the Dachshund. Again, let me remind you that all items are handmade, she DOES NOT use any sort of mold to create these figurines. One more special thing about Linda is that she's also from Houston! Update

I've just returned from vacation and while I was out I got sooo many new ideas. In addition I"m in the process of finding someone to create a website for me so that my trinket trunk fans can buy not only crafts but some of the jewelry I sell on the side as well. I'm not sure how soon my site will be up and running but its in the works.

Please don't forget to spread the word about The Trinket Trunk. Also, yesterday I posted 2 new items on etsy so check that out as well. I'm slowly but surely trying to start my expansion and hopefully in due time I will be a little more than a "corner" store :)

Meanwhile, stay tuned for updates on the release of my store. I will let everyone know when the GRAND OPENING will be. Meanwhile, its time for the craft shows to begin. Starting in June I will start doing craft shows again and will be looking for any artist willing to sell at a whole sale price to sell at my next show. Look forward to hearing from a few artist!

Valentine's Day: Hearts, cupcakes, chocolates and more, don't you just love all the decorations out for this holiday? Even if you don't have anyone, its still fun to give cutesy things to friends. And cutesy is exactly what I've in mind as I craft away. As I mentioned before I LOVE cupcake decorations, pens, charms and of course eating them is a plus! (except they have so many calories, they aren't sugar free or fat free) I've kept all 3 of these things in mind as I created some of these new little V-day decorations. I mean, why not create a cupcake that can look tasty but be calorie free, sugar free and fat free!New to The Trinket Trunk is.... "The Cupcake Collection".

A few blogs ago I blogged about the treasures Sweet Irie has on http://www.sweetirie.etsy.com/ I ordered my first key chain wristlet from her and I wanted to let everyone know how fabulous it is. Its so convenient too. The pictures on her website give the wristlets no just. They seem small on the pic but are really a lot bigger and helps keep your keys in place. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! As this new year begins, one of my resolutions has been to try and blog more often and of course start crafting a lot more.The crafting part is coming along just great but the blogging , not so great! So here I am, trying to keep up with my blogging resolution and bring to you one of my first completed projects.

Sweet Irie has asked that I be a part of her blog give aways and I agreed. The theme is "cupcakes" and being that I"m a cupcake lover I got cupcake happy. I'm trying to create a cupcake "basket" which means it will be stuffed w/many cupcake goodies. The first item has been made and its a cupcake journal along with a matching cupcake pen. I think its super but you be the judge? In the works is matching v-day magnets, hair clip and ring. I'm working on the other items but here is what I have so far!

The journal is a regular "notebook" covered in cupcake fabric, accented with Valentine Day ribbon. I added a few heart jewels to make it more fun &cute. The base of the cupcake is actually real cupcake paper cut out to fit the base and curled the ribbon into tiny circles to fluff the cupcake frosting and of course the big circle jewel to represent the cherry on the cupcake......tadahhh!

Here is the matching pen. This is also handmade. I made a cupcake die-cut and stuffed it with cotton,sprinkled matching heart jewels and wavy ribbon. I added a cute v-day bow just for fun.
